Nintendo revealed more details on the features hidden by Poké Ball Plus. Indeed, once you have stored a Pokémon in the device, it automatically turns PokéStops when it is used with Pokémon GO.

In Pokémon Let's go, Pikachu! and Pokémon Let's Go, Eevee !, the Poké Ball Plus can be used in the same way as a Joy-Con. This will allow you to move your trainer and fight rival trainers, lighting up and vibrating in your hand every time you catch a wild Pokémon.
It can also be connected to Pokémon GO, where it can be used in the same way as a Pokémon GO Plus to measure the distance you cover to hatch eggs and tell you when a wild Pokémon or PokéStop is in range.
Pokémon Let's go, Pikachu!, Pokémon Let's go, Bishop! and the Poké Ball Plus will be released around the world on November 16th.
