Pokemon GO is two: having Pikachu and Pichu

Niantic Labs did AR games (some might debate the use of "AR" there) for quite some time. But while his Ingress had a cult, his name never really took off until he badociated with The Pokemon Company to get Pokemon GO out. And the rest, as they say, it's history. It's almost hard to believe that it's been two years since Pokemon GO celebrated its birthday with an abundance of Pokémon that really triggered everything: Pikachu

So keep an eye on Pikachu and its pre-evolved form, Pichu. Electric rodents (yes, they are mice if you did not know it) will infest cards more frequently this month. Better still, Niantic is putting the pressure on with a Pikachu "Summer Style", with straw hat and sunglbades.

If you can not catch Pikachu or have caught all the Pikachu you've always wanted, you can reward yourself with avatar items to show your love for the iconic creature. Players with a Pikachu Fan Gold Medal will be eligible to purchase a Pikachu T-shirt or even Pikachu Ears for their avatar.

That said, not everyone is a fan of Pikachu. These can offer their time and wait for the mythical Pokemon Celebi to teleport into the game in the near future. When? Who knows! For now, take advantage of a yellow overload with the Pikachu and Pichu event, which runs from July 6th to July 31st.
