PS4 Yakuza Kiwami 2 now on PSN demo

If you've fallen in love with the Yakuza series via Yakuza 0 or Kiwami, or if you've been a member of the franchise for years, you'll definitely want to get your hands on the Yakuza Kiwami 2 demo now available on PlayStation Network. This is the remake of the game PS2 Yakuza 2 released in 2008 in the West; It was reinvented using the Dragon engine that powered Yakuza 6: The Song of Life. Kiwami 2 has been released in Japan since last December, but the localized version is expected to be available around the world on August 28 for the PS4.

The demo itself, which you can download here, will take you to chapter two of the story. Kiryu explores Sotenbori (a fictionalized version of Dotenbori in Osaka) in search of the Kansai Dragon, Ryuji Goda. Kiryu remains faithful to the Tojo Clan despite his exit from the affair, and he seeks to protect them from the Omi alliance, which has been shaken by Goda's leadership. The story is deeper as Kiryu begins to drill through the dubious operations of his enemies with the help of detective Kaoru Sayama. Dramatic drama with moments of comic absurdity are at the heart of the franchise and Yakuza 2.

In the full game, you can play through a new campaign centered on the favorite character of Goro Majima fans. While it plays a central role in the original story of Yakuza 2, we will see more closely in his life between the first two games of what is called the truth of Goro Majima. Of course, he rocks this hardhat by running his own construction company, but you'll know more about how he got there.
