Police search for an armed suspect after a man was stabbed at a rest area north of Airdrie on Sunday afternoon
Emergency teams were called in Dickson Stevenson rest area on Highway 2, just south of Highway 72, around 5:20 pm
The Airdrie and Calgary officers converged on the area as a result from the incident and said that a man had been taken from the scene to the hospital with stab wounds.
Investigators search for a suspect looking for a 2009 Buick Enclave black with Alberta license plate BZB 2297.
Police say the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached if someone a reference to the offender or the vehicle
