[ad_1]

The beta version of Red Dead Online began Nov. 27 for players who purchased the ultimate edition of Red Dead Redemption 2, the goal being that all players can access Red Dead Online by November 30.

Red Dead Online comes with its own story and a host of new multiplayer modes, character creation and missions to complete solo or with friends. There is also a Royal Battle style mode called Make It Count, in which 32 players face each other for first place.

We have created this guide to give you all the best tips and tricks to progress in Red Dead Online and get the most out of the beta period.

Online Beta Guide to Red Dead

You can read our guide to how to access the Red Dead Online beta here, which includes the launch times of the next few days and a brief summary of what you can expect.

Online multiplayer modes of Red Dead

There are six multiplayer modes in Red Dead Online. Up to now, 32 players can participate in multiplayer modes, with the goal of increasing this number as the beta progresses.

  • Make it count
  • A royal battle-style mode with limited weapons, such as bows and throwing knives, in a shrunken circle.

  • The most sought after
  • The players are against each other, with the player getting the most casualties, climbing the rankings, but also receiving a higher bonus on his head for the others to win.

  • Name your weapon
  • This mode is free for all with a complete list of weapons. Some weapons are considered more difficult to use than others and can earn you more points.

  • Team Shootout / Shootout
  • A good old game to death. Face the maximum number of casualties before the time runs out or, in the event of a tie, participate in Sudden Death until you win or lose.

  • Groceries
  • There are three types of horse racing: point to point, laps and open races.

  • Hostile territory
  • Capture areas around the map and collect points to win the game.

Red Dead Missions online solo and in cooperation

In addition to the multiplayer modes, there are several activities and missions to a player that you can perform.

  • Posses and activities
  • In this mode you can play Solo or Posse with up to seven friends. You can go hunting and fishing together, create a camp, fight with other possessions or simply wander in nature with your friends.

  • XP and capacity cards
  • All the XP you earn are counted in your rank in different areas. There are 12 categories of rewards that will allow you to expand your fighting, hunting, sniper or survival skills. You will also badign to your character at the beginning of the attribute points that you will be able to choose according to the style of game which you privilege.

  • Honor
  • The Honor system is back in Red Dead Online. Characters will treat you differently based on your Honor rank, but this will also affect the outcome of certain quests, whether you are a hero or an outlaw.

  • A land of opportunity
  • These multi-part missions are playable by two or four players and can change direction depending on your actions. If your rankings change, expect the mission settings to change accordingly.

Red Dead Character Creation Online

You can choose to embody a male or female character in Red Dead Online, by changing the face, age, complexion and of course, you will have the choice between a multitude of excellent beards.

You will also choose your Attributes at this point, based on combat, hunting, sniper, or survival skills.

Unlocked rank and progress

By playing on Red Dead Online, you will earn XP. This increases your rank and as you go up, more and more items, weapons, clothing, horse skins and ammo become available.

How to make money

Each job will bring you money, but some pay better than others. Red Dead Online also uses gold bullion as currency, which you can buy at the online store. Here is the time it takes to grind a single gold bar.
