SALT LAKE CITY – Dillon Serna's 88th-minute goal helped Colorado beat Real Salt Lake 2-2 on Saturday in a 45-minute game of rain and lightning.
Serna came into play in the 85th minute and replaced Kortne Ford. Shortly after, Edgar Castillo of Colorado ran a run on the left side, snuck past the Salt Lake City defensemen and shot a shot saved by Nick Rimando. Serna continued his run and, from a hard angle left, caught up with Rimando.
Damir Kreilach scored in the 11th minute for Salt Lake City (9-9-3) on a header from Joao Plata. Six minutes later, Plata led 2-0 with his shot from Jefferson Savarino
Colorado (4-11-5) regrouped and Jack McBean scored on a penalty shot to raise the score to 2-1 33rd
