Severe thorny veins erupted in Manitoba

Environment Canada lifted all severe thunderstorms for communities in southeastern and mid-western Manitoba

The National Weather Service reported that thunderstorms could form on a cold front sweeping the area earlier Saturday.

Communities that have been under the surveillance of violent storms include:

  • Berens River
  • Bloodvein Little Grand Rapids and Atikaki Provincial Park
  • Duck Mountain Provincial Park and Provincial Forest
  • Municipality of Minitonas-Bowsman including Renwer
  • Municipality of Swan Valley West, including Benito
  • Pelican Rapids and Shoal River First Nations
  • Porcupine Provincial Forest
  • Mountain RM including Cowan and Camperville
  • RM mountain range including Mafeking and Birch River
  • Westgate Red Deer Lake and Barrows
  • North and South Moose Lake including Moose Lake Res
  • The Pas Cormorant Westray and Wanless

All watches were removed shortly after 10 pm Sam.
