Strangely, a new update for Metal Gear Solid V lets you play silently

It's been three years since Konami gave us Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain – the latest Kojima Productions game released by the publisher – and surprisingly, a new update (via Eurogamer) came out of what looks like nowhere, adding to a new playable character, the silent badbadin, Quiet.

Konami kept updating The Phantom Pain long after it was released, but it's been a while since we've seen a big update like this; we could say that this update was really a "calm" – see what we did there? Whatever the case may be, the adorable rifle sniper expert has been added to the game as a playable character, but not in the main campaign, unfortunately. You can only use it to invade other FOB (Forward Operating Bases) players and you can not change its uniform or head options because apparently it is breathing through her skin, so if she changed her outfit, she was not going well for her. His unique abilities allow him to maintain a stable goal as a person, to advance very fast and to jump over obstacles that would normally require a ladder. You can read the full release notes on Konami's site here

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is available on PS4, Xbox One and PC. The game is also released on the latest generation consoles, but this update unfortunately seems to apply only to new consoles.
