The Wolves conclude their summer league match of 2018 on Friday night against the Denver Nuggets.
This is the second time these teams will have faced each other. The Wolves fell on the Nuggets 70-69 last Friday, which actually seems like months ago. That's what Vegas will do for you.
As this is the last game of Summer League, it will be interesting to see what kind of line-up is used for both teams.
The Nuggets have intriguing names on their team. The players you've heard about include former first-round picks Malik Beasley and Tyler Lydon. Beasley has an average of 16 points and 2.3 interceptions per game. Lydon is averaging 7.7 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. Although these players were solid, Monte Morris was the star of the Denver Summer League. The former star player of the Iowa State has averaged 17.5 points and 6.3 rebounds per game, the two best scores of the team.
The Timberwolves were a revealing experience and if you're a fan of Minnesota, you must be happy what you saw. Keita Bates-Diop, the No. 48 pick in the repechage, averages 15 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.8 steals and 1.3 blocks per game. Josh Okogie, the team's No. 20 pick, averages 11 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.3 steals and 2.0 blocks per game. Both players showed how they can one day become effective players in the next level. Amile Jefferson averaged 9.5 points and 13.5 rebounds per game, a mark that leads all players in the summer league
