More than $ 48,000 was donated to a music teacher in Los Angeles who was arrested for repeatedly hitting a student last week. Los Angeles Times reports. The Friday fight between Marston Riley, 64, and a student at Maywood Academy High School ended with Riley's arrest on the "suspicion of child abuse". Cecilia Diaz Jimenez, a former employee of the Maywood Academy, launched the GoFundMe page to allow Riley to "pay fines, fees and lawyers," the newspaper reported. "Do not forget that the school district is considering sending him away and I would not doubt that the student's parents plan to bring criminal charges," wrote Jimenez on the GoFundMe page that she started. On Monday evening, 1,955 people made a donation. A video of the fight on a cell phone would show a student swearing and calling Riley the keyword after Riley ordered him to leave the room for wearing the wrong uniform. At one point, we see the student throw a basketball at him. We then see Riley hitting the student and the fight intensifies until the student is removed from the room. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, the student was treated for "moderate injuries" in a hospital and was released. According to authorities, Riley was released Saturday after posting a $ 50,000 bail. His trial is scheduled for November 30.
