A new captivating 360 ° interactive video shows what it looks like from a Tesla sedan's stand-alone ride on a winding road.
A number of previous videos have attempted to show what Tesla's autopilot technology views as driving a Model S on the road, but never before has there been a fully interactive representation and immersive.
The creator of the video, Pranav Kodali, was inspired by some of the previous videos, using the autopilot data to bademble a fully 360 video.
"A visualization of the data from eight autopilot cameras to be seen while driving on the famous Tail of the Dragon course," Kodali explains in the description of the video. "The data for viewing was taken directly from a 2.5 autopilot car."
The Tesla model is not clearly defined, but Kodali explained that he was using Autopilot 2.5, the latest version of the company's standalone computers. Last fall, Tesla announced the launch of the 2.5 autopilot last year, with increased computing power and included in the 3, S and X models.
In recent months, Tesla has introduced a number of autopilot updates that not only improve the driving experience, but also the overall reliability and performance.
In addition, Tesla will release a new version of the Summon feature of its cars, which will allow vehicles to track parking signs, find empty parking spots, park automatically and, more importantly, allow you to driving her like a giant RC car.
