WAPAKONETA, Ohio (AP) – The Armstrong Air & Space Museum in western Ohio will host a groundbreaking ceremony for the work of astronaut Neil Armstrong.
Astronaut Robert Springer and Armstrong's son, Mark Armstrong, are among the speakers at the inauguration of Wapakoneta (wah-puh-kuh-NET-uh) on Friday.
Museum officials say the expansion will include a clbadroom with up-to-date technology and a space for educators to film online programs. in any place. The expansion will also include updated exhibits, including the addition of the F5D Skylancer badpit.
Officials are working to complete the expansion phase by July 2019 in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 lunar landing.
