The Galaxy Note 9 Escapes From Anywhere – TechCrunch

[ad_1]

The Galaxy Note 9 will not be announced until the month of August. You would not know it by reading the Internet, though. Every nook and cranny of the upcoming phablet have been laid bare for the world, in a series of leaks in recent weeks.

Of course, not everyone will see the light of day, but there are many who come from fugitives with established backgrounds, and enough detail lined up to paint an entirely believable portrait of the phone. We will finally have an official look at the beginning of next month.

And then there's this:

This is a picture of Samsung's CEO, DJ Koh, who uses what appears to be Note 9 at a media event. The differences are subtle, but they are there in the camera case, which is among some small changes visible to the camera ahead. Like, of course DJ Koh for the use of the company's products, S Pen and everything, but even by the traditionally fledgling standards of Samsung, it's a bit silly.

Maybe that does not bother Samsung. Maybe everyone is talking about Note 9, while we're working hard on this folding phone we've heard so much about.

The camera case above is in line with another recent post-flight leak, EVLeaks which shows a complete front and back render of the camera to come:

There is also an S Pen, with a layer of yellow paint that matches the image that the company sent with the invitation to the August Event. The fingerprint sensor was moved under the camera, rather than beside it, as on Note 8. It was an obvious mistake, and Samsung has corrected it for the S9. The logic follows that they would do the same on the new note

This, in turn, seems to confirm this picture of a real unit of Slashleaks, which carries an extremely effective sticker "No photo allowed / Do not run away. " At least, Samsung tried, I guess.

More (but not much more, from appearances) will be revealed on August 9th.
