With more than 2,800 emoticons available for smartphone users, it is not surprising that some – like the famous eggplant – have caused a sensation over the years.

One of the 158 new digital images released with iOS 12.1 on October 30 has elicited mixed reactions from users, who are unclear about what facial expression means.

The "woozy" emoji face was part of the new version and opened a Twitter chat about what he is trying to convey.

The emoji, which seems almost between a grimace and a blush, is officially described as "woozy".

Emojipedia explains that it is a "face that can show signs of tiredness and emotion, that is to say drunk", but interprets it as a stroke or accidental bite of the language.

Twitter users have tried to guess what the face could mean …
