NEW YORK – A representative of Demi Lovato says that she is awake and that she is recovering with her family after the pop singer was hospitalized Tuesday for an overdose.
"Half is awake and with her family who wants to thank everyone for the love, prayers and support," said Lovato's representative in a statement Tuesday night. "Some of the information reported is incorrect and they respectfully ask for privacy and not speculation because their health and recovery are the most important things at the moment."
The statement did not provide details on the hospitalization of the singer.
Emergency authorities confirmed that they had transported a 25 – year – old woman who lives in the Demi Lovato building to the hospital after receiving a call at 11:22 Tuesday.
