While last week, YouTuber had claimed that Apu Nahasapeemapetilon was facing the Simpsons ax, a real person working on the series seemed to lay the groundwork for his accusations.
As for Adi Shankar's claim that he would have heard confirmation of "multiple sources", the long-time character would be trapped in response to the claim that he would be a racist caricature after the subject made the front page of Hari Kondabolu's 2017 documentary, The Problem With Apu, a long-time showrunner and writer Al Jean fought back.
Holding on Twitter to answer the whole question, he wrote: "Adi Shankar is not a producer of The Simpsons. I wish him the best, but he does not speak for our show. "
Adi saw Al's message and responded hoping to create a "middle ground".
He replied, "I wish you good luck too. Let us work towards common ground. Ignoring only fuels the flames. The world is polarized and becoming more and more so, and it's up to us to bring people together. S engage constructively and this case will go to bed.

The conversation continues after the beginning of the year, comedian Hari interviewed actors and comics of South Asian descent on the representation of Indians in the animated series of the documentary in question. However, while the creator Matt Groening had defended the character of Apu at the time, producer Adi – who does not work in the series – confirmed this weekend that the Simpsons will no longer appear in the star.
The producer crowdsourcing a script to solve "the problem with Apu" and hoped that Fox would produce it as an episode of The Simpsons – however, he would have been informed that the character would be totally eliminated from the series.
He told IndieWire: "I checked with multiple sources: they will remove the Apu character. They are not going to do much, or anything like that, but they will just drop it to avoid controversy. "

Viewers immediately criticized the alleged decision, finding that the crew had lost a decent chance to rectify the situation in a thoughtful and impactful manner.
But it seems that we may have to wait a little longer before we can confirm with certainty if Apu will stay around.
