The 16-year-old who died at a music festival in Kelowna had to start early post-secondary education and dreamed of pursuing a career in medicine, according to a crowdfunding page. set up on his behalf.
Adison Davies died Friday at the Music and Sports Festival Center of Gravity. She has been described as a brilliant, goal-oriented woman who planned to study psychology and sociology at Thompson Rivers University. She was also hardworking and responsible, and worked two jobs to buy her first vehicle, said the GoFundMe page.
"Her parents were very proud of what she was becoming an accomplished young woman. Unfortunately, Adison will not be able to fulfill the hopes and dreams that she has shared with her family, "said the page, created by organizer Carly Roberts
Davies was a resident from Kamloops who attended NorKam Secondary, according to Kamloops This Week.
We have sad news to share today. A guest from the center of gravity was transported from the site last night to the Kelowna General Hospital where she was treated for a medical emergency and died. Our deepest condolences to his family and friends

The campaign raised more than $ 8,300, exceeding the goal of 7,000 $. The funds will be used to fund the funeral arrangements and other expenses incurred by the Davies family.
The Kelowna RCMP stated that officers responded to the festival at approximately 9:30 pm on Friday to badist paramedics. Davies was taken to the Kelowna General Hospital where she died
The RCMP stated that the investigation was ongoing, but she did not believe that Davies' death was criminal in nature.
