New works by the Coen brothers, Paul Greengrbad and Alfonso Cuaron, will be previewed at the Venice Film Festival, in an impressive program that rewards price hopes, embraces Netflix wholeheartedly and promises a star power Lido

Venice Artistic Director Alberto Barbera unveiled at least four Netflix originals on the festival's list at a press conference in Rome on Wednesday: Joel's New Western and Ethan Coen, "The Ballad of Buster Scruggs "; Greengrbad "July 22" (formerly titled "Norway"), about the horrific terrorist attack of 2011 in and around Oslo that killed 77 people; "Roma" by Cuaron, the return of Oscar-winning director to Spanish cinema; and the restoration and completion of the unfinished "On the other side of the wind" of Orson Welles.

As revealed by Variety Universal's "First Man" directed by Damien Chazelle and starring Ryan Gosling as astronaut Neil Armstrong, will open the 75th edition of Venice on August 29th. Chazelle will return to Lido after the opening of the festival in 2016 with "La La Land", which has won six Oscars.
