"These flames are 50 feet tall": BC residents near the huge Mount Eneas Forest Fire

"She is reaching the mountain!"

Meadow Valley resident, Jenn Moffat, took out her phone and began recording the huge Eneas Mount Forest fire all over near the top of the mountain.

She seems to be getting closer to her house and Lake Garnet

Moffat's house was evacuated last summer when wildfires erupted in the same area, so she is now ready to go to any time

The rumbling of the wildfire flames, now estimated at 500 hectares, can be heard on the video.

You can see the orange smoke rising in the air.

A number of properties were evacuated because of this forest fire.

An Emergency Social Services (ESS) Reception Center is open at 325 Power Street at the Penticton Community Center . All affected persons in the evacuation order area are invited to leave immediately and register at the reception center

Evacuees who choose not to go to the center of reception are always required to register
