The thousands of Manitoba Hydro customers in River Heights and North Kildonan are off.
Manitoba Hydro's online cut card shows just under 1,750 customers without electricity north of Wellington Crescent at Grosvenor Avenue between Lindsay Street and Cambridge Street
A little over 1,400 Henderson Highway customers in Rothesay Street between Stuart Avenue and Sperling Avenue in North Kildonan are also without electricity.

In a tweet Hydro said the failure of River Heights was caused by a demolition line on Oxford Street. Crews are expected to be reinstated in this region by 6 pm
Electricity should be restored to North Kildonan by 5 pm
