Two other characters from Marvel would have survived the fall of Thanos

With the click of his fingers Infinity Gauntleted, Thanos changes the course of the Marvel film universe in an instant. Thanks to the power of the six Infinity Stones, he was finally able to bring out his vision of a true balance in the universe at the end of Avengers: Infinity War by erasing half of all life, and the surviving half must now adapt to a radically altered reality. Apparently, we can count Stellan Skarsgård's Dr. Erik Selvig and Kat Dennings's Darcy Lewis, two of Thor's allies, among these lucky survivors.

Avengers: Infinity War was released in theaters seven months ago and has been available on national media for almost four months, but the events of this film are still very much in the minds of Marvel fans, and a new book, titled Avengers: Infinity War: The Cosmic Quest Volume Two: The Consequenceswill give them a glimpse of life after the Thanos Crisis. The book follows Erik Selvig and Darcy Lewis trying to find and understand the cause of this genocide, which will take them on a journey to learn more about the Infinity Stones. Unfortunately for them, a new enemy who "threatens to destroy them all looms", because of course there are some. Why should their investigation of these powerful artifacts be easy?

This is the third Avengers: Infinity War The liaison book will be published this year after Thanos: the consummate titan, who explored the origins of the purple warlord, and The Cosmic Quest Volume One: The Beginnings, who followed The collector took his bearings after meeting with the Guardians of the Galaxy and taking care of his brother, The Great Master, after the events of Thor: Ragnarok. It is important to note, however, that Thanos: the consummate titan has been clarified to be un-canoned within the MCU despite being a link. Maybe that's not the case with The Cosmic Quest Volume Two: The Consequencesunless Erik Selvig and Darcy Lewis appear in Avengers 4 intact, we will not know for sure if they are still alive in the official MCU timeline.

We know full well that Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Bruce Banner without Hulk, Black Widow, War Machine, Rocket Raccoon, Nebula, Okoye and M & # 39; Baku have managed to Avengers: Infinity War alive, just like Ant-Man, who was revealed in the Ant-Man and the Wasp mid-credits scene. Hawkeye and Captain Marvel have also survived as they are important players in Avengers 4and characters like Shuri and Pepper Potts are confirmed by interviews or behind-the-scenes leaks. But there are still many other MCU characters whose fates remain mysterious, but for now, you can badume that Erik Selvig and Darcy Lewis are not dust.

Erik and Darcy both made their debut in 2011 Thor along with Jane Foster, Ph.D., Natalie Portman. The trio was in New Mexico doing astrophysical research when they came across a helpless Thor, exiled on Earth by Odin, the Asgardian father. Initially, they did not know what to do with Thor, Erik highlighting in particular the strangeness of this strange bearded man who emitted bits of Nordic mythology. However, once The Destroyer arrived in this New Mexico City and Thor was deemed worthy enough to handle Mjolnir again, they realized that it was the real deal.

As Darcy returned to Thor: The World of Darkness and continued to be comical relief, Erik Selvig not only returned for this film, but The Avengers in advance and Avengers: the era of Ultron then. His scientific prowess was most useful in the first two phases of the MCU, although, unfortunately, after being controlled by Loki in his mind. The Avengers and forced to help bring the Chitauri to Earth, Erik became mentally unstable, which gave him his own moment of humor in The dark world. It was only briefly mentioned that Jane Foster had dropped Thor, explaining why the woman who had been last seen pbadionately kissing the god of thunder was no longer involved in his life. It does not matter, we had Hulk, Doctor Strange, Hela and Grandmaster to make up for all that.

Given how packaged Avengers 4 is already, I suspect that Erik Selvig and Darcy Lewis will not appear in it. Thor certainly participates in the capper of phase 3, but one could imagine that he's going to have his hands busy, like all the other superheroes. Yet, if you want to badume that The Cosmic Quest Volume Two: The Consequences is canon, so at least now there is a way to learn what they do in the afterWar of Infinity landscape. It is not because they do not participate directly in the fight against Mad Titan that they are not doing important work.

As for Avengers 4Marvel Studios, which is still a little over six months before the release of the film, has still not provided official details about the story. It is said that the quantum realm plays a key role in the film, and there are many rumors and speculations about its integration into the big picture, like the heroes who cross this other dimension to cancel this genocide, or how the "souls" "People who have been reduced to dust are trapped there. But in addition to knowing most of the main players, we do not know what to expect. Avengers 4and we still do not know when the first official images or the trailer will arrive.
