Two planes collide in the west of Ottawa: police

According to the Ottawa police, there was a plane collision between two aircraft over the west of the city on Sunday morning.

After the collision, police told CTVNews.ca that the smallest aircraft had crashed into a field, but that the largest had been safely redirected to the Ottawa International Airport. . The Transportation Safety Board of Canada has stated that the largest aircraft suffered only minor damage.

The collision occurred shortly after 10 hours.

Ottawa Police Sgt. Jamie Harper said he could not comment on the injuries. The police said they did not know how many people were on each plane.

Ottawa paramedics referred all issues to Carp Airport. Officials there did not have any details, reported CTV Ottawa.
