A stretch of Highway 1 eastbound to Langley was closed Saturday morning as a result of a crash of several vehicles that sent at least a person in the hospital
after 6 hours just before the exit of 200th Street. According to early reports, it was an SUV that collided with a hilly semi-trailer on the side of the road.

Police initially said that they were investigating a fatal accident, but later provided an update stating that the SUV driver had been rushed to hospital with injuries potentially life threatening. eastbound lanes were to be closed between hours 192 and 200 for hours, causing serious delays for people leaving Greater Vancouver
Eastbound lanes finally reopened just before 9:30, but the ramp was closed. The exit ramp was reopened less than an hour later
The cause of the accident is being investigated.
