The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Force (RNC) is looking for its police dog, Edge.

At 4:30 pm On Friday, police dog services were called to help officers locate a person in paradise.

Edge was deployed by his master to pursue the fleeing individual, but the dog has since disappeared.

The police are currently searching the neighborhood and wooded area of ​​Picco Drive and Ashlen Crescent in paradise.

The RNC warns the public not to approach the Edge, but to contact the police at 729-8000 or 911 where it is spotted.

Edge is a black German shepherd with brown legs. He wears his harness with reflective police markings and his lead.

Police released information on the RNC's social networks about the man the police dog (PSD) was looking for. Chad Quilty, 28, is wanted for breaking a court order. It was last seen in the area of ​​Ashlen Crescent and Picco Drive. Anyone with information about Quilty's whereabouts is asked to call the police at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.

Shortly after 9 pm, police also turned to social media to ask residents in neighborhoods around Seascape Drive and Ashlen Crescent in Paradise to check if PSD Edge was on their properties.
