Despite the two releases last year, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Splatoon 2 continued to receive a lot of support as two exclusive keys to the Switch, the first having recently taken over Labo, and the last having pulled out the Octo Expansion DLC.

In the short video below shared via Nintendo's Twitter account, software chief executive Shinya Takahashi talked about several major exclusives of the hybrid platform. In addition to sharing his love for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Excitement for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Takahashi also mentioned that updates are currently under development for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Splatoon 2. Takahashi makes no mention The free updates of Splatoon 2 will continue until December, so it would not be not unreasonable to badume that the update of Mario Kart 8 would arrive in the same time.
