The Tactical Unit and the Hamilton Police Demining Team raided the building on Tuesday afternoon.

"At this point, I can say that there is no indication that it is a credible threat. However, as I mentioned yesterday, we take these things very seriously, "Hamilton Police Superintendent. Will Mason said at a press conference Tuesday afternoon while the search was underway.

On Monday morning, school officials said they received two phone calls in a voice suspected of being a man. Police said the appellant had threatened to bring a weapon to the school and harm students and teachers, which resulted in a lockdown of several hours. The threat was then determined to be invalid.

Hamilton Police asks anyone with information to contact the investigators.

Bishop Ryan CSS is currently in prison after a similar threat to that yesterday was made against the school. Students are evacuated to Our Lady of the Assumption. @HamiltonPolice is on stage. Parents / caretakers are requested to stay away from school.

The caller on Tuesday had a similar voice, Mason said, and the phone number was the same. He noted that phone numbers can be falsified to mask the origin of the call.

Mason said that although the circumstances of the two cases seemed similar, the investigators can not definitively state that the same person is responsible for both.

He said the threats were not a joke and indicated that the Hamilton police were devoting significant resources to identifying the origin of the calls.

Hamilton police said they were trying to talk to anyone who might have information about the case.
