VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – People have spoken, Vancouver's "corpse flower" is now known as "Uncle Fester".

The vote was held online and the popular character of Addam's Family came out victorious.

The rare tropical plant will unleash its stench inside the Bloedel Conservatory in Queen Elizabeth Park in Vancouver

The conservatory is waiting for "Uncle Fester" to flourish someday, noting that this will probably happen in the next three days.

Once flowered, the conservatory will extend its hours from 7h to 23h. for two days to allow visitors to admire the rare sight and feel.

But anyone who is really looking forward to feeling this will have to act quickly. Once the flower hatches, the odor lasts only between 24 and 48 hours.

The Weather Prediction of #vancouver predicted the sun with a high probability of stench! Here is what Uncle Fester looks like today. We will extend the hours from 7am to 11pm for two days after flowering so that visitors can experience the view and smell! #bloedelcorpseflower pic.twitter.com/5KHywZq8j2
