WINNIPEG – Matt Nichols could return to the field with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers this week after being removed from the team's six-game injury roster on Tuesday.

According to Bob Irving of CJOB, head coach Mike O ' Shea does not rule out the return but says he does not know if Nichols will be ready to play this Saturday game against the BC Lions.

Nichols was suffering from an apparent knee injury to practice before the start of the season and he was missing four to six weeks. Rookie quarterback Chris Streveler completed the franchise pivot and led the Bombers to a 1-2 record through the first three weeks of the season.
