Police in the Canadian province of Quebec are looking for a man they suspect of punching a nurse in the face for giving his wife a Covid-19 vaccine without her consent, a police spokesperson said on Wednesday .
The man confronted the nurse Monday morning in the office of a pharmacy in the city of Sherbrooke, about 155 kilometers (96 miles) southeast of Montreal, where she was assigned to administer vaccines, a said police spokesman Martin Carrier. by telephone.
“Our suspect walked right into the office and started yelling at the nurse,” Carrier said.
The man appeared shocked that his wife was vaccinated at the pharmacy “without her permission”, and punched the nurse in the face, Carrier added.

Anti-vaccine protests across Canada have escalated ahead of this week’s federal election, prompting the province of British Columbia to close schools.
The protesters had angered Prime Minister Justin Trudeau during the election campaign for targeting hospitals and healthcare workers, and he pledged to crack down on such actions.
