Mexican superstar Canelo Alvarez returns to the ring for his traditional bout of the weekend at Cinco de Mayo when he will face IBF champion Daniel Jacobs in a middleweight unification fight against Las Vegas, Nevada.

Alvarez just won his first DAZN victory in November, where he scored a decisive TKO in the third round against Rocky Fielding at Madison Square Garden. Jacobs, meanwhile, won a shared victory over Serhiy Derevianchenko (a former training partner) in October. Both fighters seem ready to play, ready to leave, basing themselves on how Friday's weigh-in has gone nose-to-nose before a tight match comes next.

The Saturday night winner will undoubtedly have a huge showdown later this year with DAZN's new free agent, Gennady Golovkin, who will also work with a new coach after being separated from Abel Sanchez earlier this week. .
