Want to spend exorbitantly on a basic woolen coat because some grumpy old man in a sports video game too? Well, Capcom has the solution for you.

Capcom recently listed a Exclusive replica in Japan the coat worn by Chris Redfield Resident Evil Village for the incredible price of 159,731 JPY, or just over $ 1,500 USD. It has no buttons and comes in four sizes: Medium, Large, Extra Large, and a slightly larger “Original Model” which is said to fit the proportions of Chris’ set. The official description also states that the “original model” looks more like the actual garment that the developers 3D scanned in-game.

Interested parties can also purchase the mantle as part of two separate Collector’s Edition bundles which include Resident Evil Village and other trinkets such as an art book, a statue of Mr. Redfield, and postcards.

All that aside … it’s literally just a woolen coat? A less than functional woolen coat on top of that, since you can’t even close that damn thing when it’s cold. I’m not going to pretend to be super fashionable, but Chris just looks like I’m ready for Resident Evil Village hitting the local Macy’s. In fact, a simple search for “woolen coat” on the store’s website brings a ton of options for much more reasonable prices.

Leon Kennedy Resident Evil 4 bomber jacket sold by Capcom back in 2016 for almost US $ 1,200, it’s at least a bit unique in comparison, and it even had a zipper.
