The rapper "I Like It" is directed to a three-year video on Instagram Live, in which she recounted that she had drugged and stolen men while she was a stripper in the Bronx.

"So, I see on social media that a concert that I did three years ago has resurfaced. A debate in which I talked about things I had to do in the past , whether I'm real or fake, that I felt I had to do to make a living, "Cardi B wrote in an Instagram post on Tuesday. "I never pretend to be perfect nor come from a perfect mind [sic] a perfect past i always say my truth i still have my s ***. "

She then wrote, "I have never glorified the things I mentioned in this concert [sic]I have never even put these things in my music because I am not proud of them and I feel responsible for not glorifying them. "

"I did what I had to do to survive," she added.

The #SurvivingCardiB hashtag has begun to make its way in recent days, even at one point on Twitter. Others have begun to ask that it be "canceled".

CNN contacted Cardi B for a comment.
