Carnival cruise ships to Bahamas with urgent supplies

Two Carnival cruise ships will travel to the Bahamas, which was hit by the hurricane next week to deliver more urgent food, water and supplies.

Carnival Pride and Carnival Liberty will deliver supplies

Cruise lines intensify following Hurricane Dorian, which crashed on the islands of Grand Bahama and Abaco. Carnival Cruise Line will send two cruise ships next week to distribute food and water, as well as other relief supplies.

Pride of carnival will be the first vessel in the fleet to depart for Freeport on Grand Bahama Island during its seven-day cruise from Baltimore, Maryland on September 8th. Carnival Liberty will follow his four-day cruise departing from Port Canaveral, which will leave on September 9th.

As the popular Freeport Cruise Port is currently closed, Carnival vessels will likely have to tender off the coast and use their lifeboats to transport supplies to the island.

Everything is on the deck of the big cruise companies and even the small ones with relief funds and cruise ships to supply the islands completely devastated by Hurricane Dorian.

Here is the list of cruise ships that have already made deliveries in the hard-hit region:

• Norwegian Breakaway (Norwegian Cruise Line)
• Empress of the Seas (Royal Caribbean)
• Grand Celebration (Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line)

Carnival and its sister cruise companies have also partnered with the Micky Family Foundation and Madeleine Arison to donate $ 2 million to Hurricane Dorian's relief efforts. The cruise company will continue to work with partners and programs so that the crew and guests can donate and help the people of the Bahamas.

Until now, Royal Caribbean Ltd, Norwegian Cruise Line, Disney Cruise Line, Carnival Corp., MSC Cruises and Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line all work to assist the Bahamas.
