When you lose a cat, it leaves a mark on your heart and mind forever. For Georgina Price and her fiancée Christopher Lardner, both felt very sick. They have unfortunately lost a feline companion just five months after introducing the 16-year-old cat into their lives. Although their time with their super senior cat, Herbie, was short, it left them with a lasting impression. This made them not only welcome another feline in their life, but also a couple bound … cats with special needs!
"I did not stop thinking about all the animals that had maybe only five months and would spend all that time in a shelter." Georgina said. "So we decided to look for an extra special cat that might take a little longer to find a house."
A few months after Herbie's death, the couple made another decision. Why not give a home to another displaced cat? Then they could have humans who would like them for the rest of their lives.
So began Georgina's online search for another backup kitten to call.
And almost instantly, she found not one, but two, cats that she knew needed her as a devoted human: "I saw them on the RSPCA and fell in love with their adorable little faces. "
Toby and Quinton were two related cats who were looking for a more fertile home, and the idea of separating them was too much to bear. Quinton, 7, suffers from Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and Toby, 7, has no more teeth.
The two cats needed support and reassurance, and Georgina quickly and without hesitation realized that the two cats were a package.
Cutaneous feline asthenia (FCA), also known as Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, is a disease characterized by deficient levels of collagen, the protein molecule needed to bring strength and elasticity to the skin and ligaments, as well as to the skin. to the rest of the body.
The disease is part of a group of hereditary conditions characterized by an exceptionally tense and drooping skin. It is caused by a genetic mutation passed from parent to offspringand, while more than one genetic disease is suspected, it can not be determined by skin or tissue samples; it is diagnosed by observation.

Georgina and Christopher were not aware of this disease that causes loose and sagging skin. But that was not a reason for him and his stuck companion to be examined.
"We had never heard of EDS before finding it, we simply knew that it needed a loving home and we have so much love to give."

The tied pair is suitable for life in his new home without a hitch.
At the RSPCA shelter, they would have been timid and fearful, and rightly so. Since the entry into the life of Georgina and Christopher, it's a lot of love and a lot of affection!
"Toby and Quinton are inseparable. Quinton is trying to clean Toby's face whenever possible, "says Georgina. "And when they play, Quinton knows how to keep his claws retracted."
