After five years with the Chargers, veteran cornerback Casey Hayward will move on.

Although the Chargers have plenty of ceiling space, they apparently decided Hayward was not worth the $ 9.75 million base salary he was set to earn in 2021.

Hayward was selected for the Pro Bowl in 2016 and 2017, but he may have passed his prime at 31 years old.
