Mike Lindell, the founder of MyPillow who served as an advisor to the president Donald trump, hired a famous libel lawyer Charles harder continue the Daily mail after outlet released report claiming Lindell was having an affair with actress Jane krakowski.
Harder confirmed his portrayal of Lindell to Law & Crime on Saturday after a Daily beast Friday night report.
Harder, best known for representing Hulk hogan in the lawsuit that brought down Gawker, has a long list of celebrity clientele, including the former president Donald trump and disgraced film producer and convicted rapist Harvey Weinstein.
the Daily mail Thursday, claimed that Lindell and Krakowsi met in a studio while filming a show and carried out a “nine month secret romance” that was “an open secret” in New York’s West Village. The article quotes several anonymous sources who have claimed that friends of ultra-liberal Krakowski are bewildered by his relationship to the “bedding titan” who backs Trump.
But in an interview with the Daily beastLindell claimed the “hit piece” was entirely bogus, claiming he had “never met” Krakowsi, had never been in the West Village, and had never been to the Hamptons. (This last place is where the Daily mail claimed the two went their separate ways.)
“They have done so much damage to my reputation … I am not just going for a formal notice or a retraction, I want to sue them with a lawsuit because they have damaged my integrity as a Christian and my network for helping addicts everywhere, ”he said, adding that he had hired Harder to represent him in the UK-based outlet pursuit.
In an email to Law and crime, Harder reiterated Lindell’s claims that the report was nothing more than a “centerpiece” against his client and that a lawsuit was imminent.
“Mike Lindell has never met Jane Krakowski. the Daily mail asked her to comment on a possible story the two had secretly dated. He immediately told them that he had never heard of her and that it was ‘fake news’, ”Harder wrote. “The Daily mail then recklessly published his fake story, and defamed him in the process – falsely saying he gave him champagne and alcohol. He is a recovering drug addict and runs Lindell Recovery Network. Mr. Lindell plans to continue the Daily mail. “
Harder also told the Daily beast that the Mail published the article because of Lindell’s backing for President Trump, claiming his client “will not let go of the machine’s electoral fraud,” presumably referring to the pillow mogul’s false claims that Dominion Voting Systems has in somehow rigged the election of the president Joe biden.
Dominion is taking action to continue its harsh defamation criticism. Lindell has previously been linked to this litigation for publicly promulgating the debunked conspiracy theory that Dominion machines botched the 2020 election.
“You have positioned yourself as a prominent leader of the ongoing disinformation campaign,” reads letter from Dominion to Lindell from lawyer Thomas A. Clare.
“Although knowing that your implausible attacks on Dominion have no basis in reality, you have participated in the vast and concerted campaign of disinformation to slander Dominion,” the letter continued before warning that “[l]an investigation into these issues is imminent. “
