MINNEAPOLIS (AP) –Mike Lindell, the businessman best known to the world as MyPillow Guy, weighs a run for governor of Minnesota.
If he follows up on a campaign, it could be a first test of the leadership of the Republican Party in the post-Donald Trump era.
Lindell would bring great visibility to a race through name recognition based on his ever-present TV commercials. But he would also bring baggage, with his unwavering support for Trump, which included repeating Trump’s false claims about a stolen election.
Some Republican state agents claim Lindell’s activism kept him from winning statewide elections.
