Chelsea Tennis has a busy week

With several double fixtures and tournaments scheduled this week, 26 players have seen varsity action for the Chelsea tennis team over the past five days and have come away with good results.

The Bulldogs opened the week by beating Dexter 8-0.

The match of the day was three doubles where Joe Michael and Quinn Tjernagel rallied for a decisive 3-6, 6-2, 10-8 victory.

Singles wins went to Hunter Napieralski, Lucas Hopkins, Mason Strach and Ryan Fredrickson.

Lane Ford / Peter Mourad, Landon Napieralski / Jack Murray and Colin Wacker / Michael Struk teamed up for doubles wins.

Team “B” then defeated Pinckney 7-1. Results were not available for the match.

Team “A” traveled to Saline for a quad and got a brace that day against strong Division 1 competition. The Bulldogs beat Saline 5-3, fell to Ann Arbor Skyline 4- 3 and lost 5-3 to Detroit Catholic Central.

Ford and Mourad’s two doubles teams went 3-0 that day to lead the Bulldogs.

The “B” team went to Howell and got a 2-1 ATV record against much larger schools.

The Bulldogs fell to Canton 6-3 but beat Howell 8-1 and Franklin 8-1.

Three doubles teams went 3-0 that day to lead the team. JP Chinavare and Evan Sing teamed up to win in singles doubles, Wyatt Beck and Evan Grudzinski in treble doubles and Chase Seaberg and Jordan Jedele in quadruple doubles.
