Cencosud – a group linked to businessman Horst Paulmann – reported yesterday that his general manager, Jaime Soler, has resigned, having held this position for more than three years. In replacement of the Executive, as of October 1st, Mr. Andreas Gebhardt, currently Managing Director of Enel Distribución, will take office.
The company indicated, by an essential fact sent to the Commission for the Financial Market (CMF), that "The board of directors accepted the resignation and thanked Mr. Soler for his contribution to the consolidation process of Cencosud during the years he was in power. "

Cencosud explained that the executive, commercial engineer from the University of Chile, 46, has retired from the company for personal reasons and with the intention to embark on new projects. In January 2015, Jaime Soler took over as CEO of Cencosud replacing Daniel Rodrguez, who decided to leave the company to become a director from the Mexican Femsa. For his part, Andreas Gebhardt, a civil engineer at the Catholic University, is a key man of Enel. Since 1992, at the age of 26, he has held several positions in the electrical field: he was commercial and operational director of El Matrica del Ro Maipo for 7 years and 9 months; then he took over the Chile operations of the American Multiservice Company – a company of the Enersis group – for 6 years and 10 months; He was commercial director of Chilectra (now Enel Distribución) for 8 years and 3 months; and finally general manager of Enel Distribución for 3 years and 9 months.
