US President Donald Trump has launched a tariff list for an additional $ 200 billion for Chinese products.
Publication of the list opens a one – week process that includes a period of public comment and hearing.
The Trump administration imposed tariffs on Chinese products worth $ 34 billion on July 6. It was the first time that the US president applied tariffs directly to Beijing after threatening to do so in previous months. China immediately reacted by enforcing duties on US products of equal value, including soybeans and automobiles.
The 205-page list was published and states that rates would apply to television components and air-conditioning systems, clothing, leather goods and batteries of electric vehicles.
Rates may be enter into force after the public consultations that end on August 30th.
