Lima .- After five consecutive years of decline, Peruvian wood exports would show signs of recovery this year, registering a slight growth of 1% over 2017, amounting to 123 million dollars, announced the Center. of Commerce (CCEX) of the Lima Chamber of Commerce (CCL).

In 2017, wood shipments to Peru reached US $ 121 million, a reduction of 6% from 2016.
During this year, the main exported wood products were: semi-finished products ($ 85 million), accounting for 70% of total exports; sawn wood ($ 24.4 million), with 20%; and manufactured goods ($ 12.07 million), with 10%.
Markets of destination. At the same time, Peruvian wood exports among the main destinations are: China, with shipments of slats and friezes for parquet, molded wood and other sawn wood, up to 59 million US $.
