In his new investment model, startup accelerator Wayra Telefónica announced its most recent commitment to start-up Colombian up "Dashfleet" which, thanks to technology, helps pbadenger transport companies optimize their fleet and improve their experience.
Luis Felipe Galvis Méndez, originally from Saravena (Arauca), is co-founder of "Dashfleet", a platform that makes transportation companies more profitable and which, in turn, allows pbadengers to connect to the buses. This company has received financial support from Wayra, the open innovation arm of Telefónica Colombia.
Dashfleet is a smart system that integrates 100% Colombian hardware into a cloud application, mobile applications, the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence algorithms. . The equipment is installed in the vehicles and, when it is synchronized with the entire system, it allows services such as: pbadenger counting, driver sleep detection, on-board video surveillance, control and management. pbadenger fleet and entertainment, generating a social impact for public transport users, who make up about 80% of the Latin American population.
This electronics engineer from the University Manuela Beltrán and entrepreneur in the public transport sector in Colombia and Panama, along with the engineer Ángela Pinzón, led this company. , which was born in 2014 to solve the daily problems of transportation, such as escape, insecurity, pbadenger overload and bad travel experiences.
"Our transportation systems have been designed in the interest of the profitability of the operation." "The humanization of transport is one of the biggest challenges for smart cities, and for this reason, pbadenger transport companies are an opportunity for us to make cities more user-friendly and smart, to improve travel experiences for citizens, and therefore their quality of life, while ensuring that our customers are much more profitable. Currently, this initiative works with Transmilenio operators, Medellín metro distribution buses and intermunicipal transport companies. It also operates in Bogotá, Medellín, Montería and other cities in the country, and is about to work in Panama and Santiago de Chile. In a $ 42 billion market in Latin America, Dashfleet hopes to maintain its excellent growth, carry out its first round of investments for a million dollars and close its doors. business with Telefonica for more than 300 million pesos in the short term.
