Intendant Letelier valued the work of the Camarones municipality in favor of chinchorro culture

The mayor stated that he arrived "in this beloved and historic cove to remember the great heritage value of this place and to convey the affectionate greetings of President Piñera to all those who attended this festival with cultural roots" .
] The Regional Chief emphasized the work done by the Municipality of Camarones, the University of Tarapacá and the Regional Government for years to make Chinchorro culture a World Heritage Site in front of Unesco and thanked the Regional Council for approving the resources that made this festival possible. It will be extended until Saturday, November 3.
He also recalled that with the rector of the UTA, Emilio Rodríguez, he had recently visited the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Roberto Ampuero, to hand him the first draft of the Chinchorro file.
The song of culture is part of the project "On the footsteps of chinchorro culture", promoted by the Corporac Culture Chinchorro of the municipality of Camarones and which supports the FNDR of the regional government
This edition of the festival contains 12 folk songs in competition.
