A patient with cystic fibrosis died in in France two years after being transplanted from the lung of a smoker .
According to the Noticieros Televisa portal, the specialized journal Lung Cancer reported that in 2015, doctors had chosen to perform a transplant while the database had indicated that the lungs had belonged to a 57-year-old woman who smoked a pack of cigarettes every day for 30 years.
