Sao Paulo. The mayor of a Maranhao municipality north of Brazil was found dead with his security escort on a road a few kilometers from his farm. Until now, the motive of the crime is unknown.
The authorities found the body of the mayor of Davinópolis, Ivanildo Paiva, and his escort in the rural area of the municipality, located just over 600 km from Sao Luis, capital of the state, announced the portal G1. The authorities were looking for 57-year-old Paiva, who had been without news for a few hours, a local newspaper said.
Her phone and car were found at another time. Davinópolis is a small municipality of about 12,000 inhabitants
Ten years ago, Paiva's son, Ivanildo Júnior, was also found dead. The 19-year-old had disappeared for a week before the authorities found his body buried near the place where his vehicle was a few days ago.
A security official then confessed to committing the crime with two police officers. only a few hours before his disappearance, they had intercepted him in a nocturnal alcabala.
