A three-year-old was attacked at an acid Saturday at a West Mercia store in Britain, authorities said.

The miner, who was sitting in a stroller, suffered severe burns in his arms and in his face after the attack allegedly perpetrated by three men around 2:15 pm local time.

According to the Superintendent of West Mercia Police, Mark Travis, they are working to identify the substance that burned the child, but all indicates that it is an acid.

A 39-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being involved in the badault. Three more are wanted and the police broadcast photos, asking the public to share their information on the subject.

"We consider that it was an intentional attack … This incident will of course surprise the local community, and we want to promise you that we are conducting a thorough investigation," he said. Travis

The child, who has not been identified, is in the hospital and injuries should not change his life
