Alto Maipo is already working to achieve 70% progress

The emblematic Alto Maipo hydropower project already accounts for 70% of the construction carried out so far with 46 kilometers of tunnels excavated. In August, AES Gener reported a 68% advance.

According to the company, they pointed out that the variation in the gross margin is mainly due to the rise in contractual selling prices and the increase in production resulting from the improvement of hydrology in Colombia; for higher margins of previously executed contracts by Angamos and Cochrane; and for the increase of the price of electricity in accordance with the provisions of the Resolution 19/2017 in effect in Argentina since February 2017.

With regard to Ebitda, it has recorded 886 million USD during the last 12 months of the period. It was completed on September 30, 2018. At the end of the third quarter, EBITDA was $ 655 million, 16% higher than the same period of the previous year.
