Friends:
This is a historic day and it will be a memorable night.
A significant majority of citizens decided to initiate the fourth transformation of public life in Mexico.
I thank everyone for what they voted for us and gave us their confidence to lead this process of real change. I express my respect to those who voted for other candidates and parties.
I call on all Mexicans to reconcile and put their personal interests, however legitimate, in the general interest. As Vicente Guerrero said: " The country is first ."
The New Nation Project will seek to establish a genuine democracy. We do not bet on the construction of an open or secret dictatorship.
The changes will be profound, but they will occur in accordance with the established legal order.
There will be freedom of affairs; freedom of expression, badociation and belief; all individual and social freedoms will be guaranteed, as well as the citizens' and political rights enshrined in our Constitution.
In economic matters, the autonomy of the Bank of Mexico will be respected; the new government will maintain financial and fiscal discipline; commitments made with domestic and foreign companies and banks will be recognized.
Energy sector contracts signed with individuals will be reviewed to prevent acts of corruption or illegality. If we find anomalies that affect the national interest, we will go to the Union Congress, to national and international courts; that is, we will always behave legally. We will not act arbitrarily, there will be confiscation or expropriation of property.
The transformation we are going to do will essentially consist of banning corruption in our country. We will have no problem in achieving this goal because the Mexican people are the heirs of great civilizations and, therefore, intelligent, honest and hardworking.
Corruption is not a cultural phenomenon but the result of a declining political regime. We are absolutely certain that this evil is the main cause of the social and economic inequalities and the violence we are experiencing. Therefore, the eradication of corruption and impunity will be the main mission of the new government
The next President of the Republic will in no way allow corruption or impunity. On notice there is no deception: whoever it is, it will be punished. I included combat partners, officials, friends and family. A good judge for the house begins
Everything that has been saved for the fight against corruption and for the abolition of privileges, will be used to stimulate the development of the country. It will not be necessary to increase taxes in real terms or to indebt the country. There will be no gasoline either. Current expenditures will decrease and public investment will increase to stimulate productive activities and create jobs. The aim is to strengthen the internal market, to try to produce in the country what we consume and that the Mexican can work and be happy where he was born, where are his family, his customs, his cultures; who wants to emigrate, who does so for pleasure and not out of necessity.
The state will cease to be a minority service committee and represent all Mexicans: rich and poor; to the people of the country and the city; migrants, believers and non-believers, human beings of all currents of thought and all badual preferences.
We will listen to everyone, we will treat everyone, we will respect everyone, but we will prefer the most humble and forgotten; in particular, to the indigenous peoples of Mexico. For the good of all, first the poor.
This will change the failed fighting strategy of insecurity and violence. More than the use of force, we will deal with causes that cause insecurity and violence. I am convinced that the most effective and humane way of dealing with these ills necessarily requires fighting inequality and poverty. Peace and tranquility are fruits of justice.
Starting tomorrow, I will call representatives of human rights, religious leaders, the United Nations and other national and international organizations to meet as many times as necessary. plan of reconciliation and peace for Mexico that we will apply from the beginning of the next government. I will meet every day, very early, with members of the Public Security Bureau; that is, there will be unique leadership, coordination, perseverance and professionalism.
We will be friends of all peoples and governments of the world. In foreign policy, the principles of non-intervention, self-determination of peoples and peaceful settlement of disputes will again be applied. And as President Juarez said: " Nothing by force, all by reason and law ."
With the United States Government of America, we will seek a relationship of friendship and cooperation for development, always grounded in mutual respect and in defense of our fellow migrants who live and work honestly in this country.
Friends:
I appreciate the solidarity that has been shown by the leaders and social, political and religious organizations of the world.
We have already responded to the first calls for congratulations from the heads of state and government of some countries. To all, our sincere thanks and our respect
I must acknowledge the respectful behavior of President Enrique Peña Nieto in this electoral process. Very different from the treatment given to the former holders of executive power
The plurality and professionalism of the press, radio and television have been exemplary. The media was not, as on other occasions, transmission belts for the dirty war. Also my gratitude to the blessed social networks
Friends:
I reiterate my commitment not to betray the trust that millions of Mexicans have placed in me. I will govern with justice and justice. I will not abandon them because I maintain ideals and principles that are what I consider most important in my life. But, too, I confess that I have a legitimate ambition: I want to get into history as a good president of Mexico. I wish with all my heart to highlight the greatness of our country, help build a better society and achieve the happiness and happiness of all Mexicans.
Thank you!
¡Viva México!
