WhatsApp has become the first choice for thousands of people around the world to stay in touch with other people. Thanks to the fact that the application offers several options, users have several resources (audios, videos, gif, files and images) to communicate with someone.

However, the courier company announced a news that did not fall well between its users and that, as of Monday, November 12, people with a mobile phone Android could lose all of your messages.

In a statement, the company said that from that date, the WhatsApp backups that are not registered in the cloud, they could get lost.

This decision is due to an agreement between WhatsApp and Google allowing the recording of all chats, photos and videos sent via the application via Drive, the file storage service, without using any Space in the Google account.

The problem for those who have on their mobile phone the Android system is that WhatsApp backups that have not been updated for more than a year will be automatically removed from the Google Drive storage.

"You can save your messages and media files in Google Drive so that you can transfer them if you switch to another Android phone or purchase a new one ," the company said.

The company also recommended to connect the phone to a Wi-Fi network before making a backup copy in Drive since the file size may vary and consume a large amount of mobile data, generating additional charges for the mobile operator.
