The former minister of Michelle Bachelet, Marcelo Díaz (PS), read a letter written by his former boss, at a seminar devoted to the constitutive process.
"I congratulate the organizers for daring to continue to unjustly violate an invisibilizado subject," begins the letter from the former president.
"It has always been thought that the constitutional reform project was not only seeking the debate of the councils, but it would have been better to have it before".
Among those present at the event were his former adviser Pedro Güell and constitutional expert Javier Couso as an exhibitor.
